Amy Cavender, CSC is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross and an Associate Professor of Political Science at Saint Mary's College, where she also directs the Center for Academic Innovation. She teaches both introductory and upper-level courses in Political Thought, as well as courses in Politics and Religion and in Human Rights. Her research interests include political discourse in pluralistic societies, the implications of the digital in public life, and the digital humanities. Amy has been a lover of all things technical since her first introduction to the Commodore PET when she was in grade school. She's always looking for new and interesting ways to integrate digital tools into her courses, without making them the focus. You can find Amy on Twitter at @acavender. She also blogs regularly at ProfHacker, hosted at the Chronicle of Higher Education, and (far too infrequently!) at amycavender.org. Amy was a graduate fellow at the 1993 Colloquy held at Fairfield University.
