Andrew Slade is professor of English at the University of Dayton where he has been Department Chair since 2014. He was Academic Chair of UDayton Global (international pathways) from 2017-2021. He is completing training as a clinical mental health counselor at the University of Dayton (with an internship in a partial hospitalization program for children and adolescents) and the Child and Adolescent Advanced Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy program at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute. In the fall of 2023, he will begin Psychoanalytic training at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute. His teaching and research focus on psychoanalytic approaches to literature and film.
