The 2022 Tom Landy Award for superb service to Collegium was presented to Esteban Del Rio at the June colloquy. Esteban’s long service to the Collegium Board, tireless pursuit of radical hospitality, social justice and reaching out to the margins, as well as multiple stints as a mentor were among the reasons he was selected to receive the Landy Award. Zoom technology made it possible for Esteban to accept the award while enjoying an aperol spritz in Paris (working hard teaching a summer course for University of San Diego), presented by Board Chair Kathy LaFontana from her office at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike Ohio, applauded by a live audience of colloquy fellows in the Centenary Room at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
